Butlers POS+ Logic is part of the AGL Group – a group of companies that continue to bring about both purpose and higher purpose and who are passionate about giving back to the community.

Corporate Social Investment (CSI) stands at the forefront of our business model, and will remain so for as long as we’re in operation. Since our inception, we have encouraged people from all walks of life and varying abilities, both in and outside the business. We have made it our mission to give our staff the tools to grow and to positively transform their lives.

Butlers POS+ Logic is the main sponsor of AGL Opera which was established in 2015. AGL Opera continuously explores new, fresh and alternative methods of delivering opera, channelling beauty and excellence and creating hope throughout Southern Africa.

Driven by passion and an awareness of the impact of opera on the human psyche, AGL Opera strives to bring spiritual awareness to audiences, maximizing creativity, ingenuity and delivering hope.

Young, up and coming classical singers are given opportunities, while they simultaneously make a difference in the lives of others as they participate in raising funds for community development. As a result, the “Symphony of Prayers” initiative was launched. Classical musicians and internationally acclaimed singers from all over Cape Town donate their time and talents and mentor new talent while contributing to the social well-being of our country.

In December 2002, the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park (GLTP) was proclaimed with the signing of an international treaty at Xai-Xai, Mozambique by the heads of state of Mozambique, South Africa and Zimbabwe. Butlers POS+ Logic and the other AGL Group companies are investors and supporters of this treaty.

GLTP straddles the borders of Mozambique, South Africa and Zimbabwe and joins some of the most established wildlife areas in Southern Africa into a huge conservation area of 35 000 km² (± the size of the Netherlands). This is managed as an integrated unit across three international borders. This forms the core of a second-phase transfrontier conservation area which measures almost 100 000 km².

Being part of the greater Balule nature conservation initiatives, Le Lapa is working toward the shared vision of achieving inter-state collaboration in the conservation of trans-boundary ecosystems and their associated diversity, promoting sustainable use of natural resources to improve the quality of life of the people and animals of these countries.

Butlers POS+ Logic supports the joint mission to collaboratively establish and manage, on a sustainable basis, a viable Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park with full stakeholder participation, including local communities, fostering regional cooperation, biodiversity conservation and cross-border socio-economic development. It is here that Butlers activity engages the grand restoration agenda of restoring man’s relationship with each other, the plant and animal kingdoms, mother nature and ultimately, restoring man’s fragile relationship with our planet.

The Elevation Programme was officially registered in 2017 as a Nonprofit Company (NPC) with the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) under registration number 2017/321172/08.

Located at 8 Kollege Street, Wellington, our center offers a range of skill development programs and job creation initiatives, benefiting not only the local community of Drakenstein but also the surrounding areas.

With a solid reputation in the community, we have positively impacted over 1500 unemployed individuals by offering life skills training, work readiness programs, career guidance, and facilitating access to both full-time employment opportunities and funded training initiatives.

Through our extensive network, we actively participate in various forums focusing on skills development and job creation, striving to provide equitable opportunities for all members of our community.

AGL Group CEO, Johan Slabbert, was raised with an understanding of challenges faced by those who are hearing impaired. Close family members have highlighted for him the obstacles faced in day to day life.

Although society has become more embracing and supportive of any individual with challenges, they still struggle to find career opportunities.

It is through this close and caring association that Butlers POS+ Logic has developed a key focus on creating job opportunities for hearing impaired, as well as physically and mentally challenged individuals.

As a Transformational leader, AGL Group and Butlers POS+Logic CEO Johan Slabbert identified the acute need for the development of leadership capacity to deal with uncertainty whilst often thriving within chaos.

He recently completed his MSc in “Coaching and Behavioural change” at the University of Reading in the UK, specialising in a Transpersonal Coaching intervention for the development of the authentic leadership brand, assisting leaders to find significance outside of linear deliverables and performance.

Given the current global epidemic in leadership suicides, Johan Slabbert has invested in the development of an authentic leadership development emporium within the Cape winelands and further invested in a Leadership Development retreat at Le Lapa (Limpopo) nature reserve, using an eco-centric, and spiritual coaching intervention for personal transformation of leaders. He believes in sharing with and uplifting others wherever possible and devotes time providing coaching and guidance at Traduire Leadership Development Emporium. His focus is primarily on the development of all staff members and individuals he has encountered in his business dealings who are in need of guidance.
